They’re here—and Josh finally is, too. After avoiding Poltergeist (1982) for decades because even the video-store cover creeped him out, Josh joins Robb to close out spooky season.
They revisit the terrifying clown, the attacking tree, overwhelmed ghost hunters, and practical effects that still deliver. From the rotating bedroom to the stretching hallway, they explore why simple movie tricks can be scarier than CGI—and why the Freelings should probably have packed the station wagon much sooner.
Plus: movie-theater snack smuggling, Jerry Goldsmith’s score, Spielberg’s fingerprints—literally—and a perfect snapshot of early-’80s suburban life. Both hosts land on 8/10. Next up: Vertigo (1958).
